BIT Mesra Campus
BIT Mesra campus is well-equipped with facilities like hostels, lecture halls, training and research laboratories. Given below are the details of the BIT Mesra campus:
- Hostels- BIT Mesra offers a complete residential campus with 11 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. The hostels also include dining halls, common rooms, reading rooms, entertainment halls with colour televisions, and independent mess halls.
- Library- BIT Mesra has a central library that comprises hybrid resources (Electronic & Print) in different fields like Engineering & Technology, Management, Architecture, etc. It also has a separate internet section which provides access to online journals, online databases, etc. Students can use the library of BIT Mesra from 9 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. There is a total of 129 print journals, 11 Magazines, and 13 Newspapers.
- Ground- BIT Mesra campus also has a huge ground for playing cricket and football. Two basketballs and badminton courts are available along with two volleyball grounds with flooded lights. The institute also allows fitness facilities, especially for girls in the girls’ hostel.
- Auditorium- The campus of BIT Mesra facilitates two auditoriums with a seating capacity of nearly 2,500 people. The cultural events organized by the student community usually take place in this auditorium.

By Train

BIT Mesra offers scholarships to provide financial assistance to its students based on their merit and need. Given below is a detail of the scholarships provided by BIT Mesra:
BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship Scheme: The BIT GP Birla Scholarship Scheme was established to honor worthy students and also to help them financially. The total amount awarded in scholarships each year will be INR 2.10 Cr. If more students become eligible for the scholarship based on the below-mentioned criteria than can be accommodated within the total sum of INR 2.10 Cr, the eligibility criteria will be revised accordingly. Given below are the different categories of the BIT GP Birla Scholarship Scheme:
- BIT GP Birla Scholarship- The BIT GP Birla Scholarship will be awarded to meritorious students based on their performance in MO 2022 without considering their family income.
- BIT GP Birla Scholarship for BTech and BArch based on JEE Mains rank- Candidates who have secured prescribed All India Ranks in JEE (Main) are eligible to receive the scholarship under this category.
- BIT GP Birla Scholarship for MTech based on GATE percentile- This scholarship is provided to those candidates in their first semester who have scored 90 percentile or more in GATE.
- BIT GP Birla Scholarship for B.Tech. under Immersive Summer Research Experience (ISRE) at Reputed Foreign Universities- This scholarship will be provided to those students of BTech programs who are selected for the Immersive Summer Research Experience (ISRE) at reputed foreign universities. This will cover that part of the expenditure which is to be incurred by BIT Mesra.
- BIT GP Birla Assistantship BIT GP Birla Assistantship- This scholarship will be provided to the needy meritorious students based on merit cum means. The academic performance in MO 2022 and family income will be considered for this category.
- BIT GP Birla Assistantship on Compassionate Grounds- This assistantship is provided to students in a very limited number on compassionate grounds. A minimum level of academic performance is considered for this category.

Merit scholarships on the basis of JEE Main Rank: First-semester students who are admitted to BIT Mesra BTech programs are eligible for this scholarship based on their JEE Mains rank. Up to 1000 rank, general, and SC/ST candidates are given a 100% tuition fee waiver.
Merit-cum-means Scholarship Scheme: Under this scholarship scheme, qualified students are awarded waivers in their tuition fees and hostel rent based on their achievements in the previous semester and the total annual income of their parents. Candidates who score more than a 9.5 CGPA will get a 100% waiver on their tuition fee and hostel rent.
The sudden demise of an earning member of the family: In this scholarship scheme, the institute will waive 100% of a student’s fees for the current semester if the earning member of the family passes away suddenly. Depending on the student’s need, overall performance, and financial status, a scholarship of up to 75% may be awarded in subsequent semesters.
